I am using turbo c++ as IDE for making programs.However it is not compiling and executing programs.It states error in #include <iostream. h>.Why is it so?

I would strongly like to suggest you to do not use turbo c++ ide as it is out dated.
Use Code::blocks for c/c++ it is much better than the turbo c++ compiler.

Regarding your error please state full error here.

I recommend you downloading it's demo projects from there website and see how there is written code.
I too have used turbo c++ and it worked maybe some other error
