Learning Python or Java?

Question

I'm relative new in the programming world and was wondering, should I learn Python or Java if I want to make small programs for small projects and minor data mining on web and social media?

python is good for data mining
learn both if you have enough time
java can be used for many things, but need some times to master it
while python is a bit simpler than java

If you want to make apps for android or games for mobiles then start with java.But if you prefer programs on Pc start with Python as I did.It is a very simple but powerful language
