Eclipse is not allowing me to run my program as a java application. I have already downloaded the right JDK for my lap top.

I downloaded the JDK and Eclipse but for some reason don't have the option to run my program as a java application. It says "(None applicable)". I added the correct PATH to my environment variables. What am I missing?

make sure that you are in the correct perspective. see the top right corner and check if java perspective is selected.

Once you have downloaded the Eclipse archive, the next step is to decompress the file, which creates an unzipped Eclipse folder.
Since Eclipse has no installer, there will be an executable file in the Eclipse folder (for Windows: eclipse.exe). Double clicking the file launches Eclipse (this also applies to other operating systems)
