What if I used the element <div> in Html 5? is it wrong? or what're the results?

As far as I understand, In Html 4 <div> is common. On the other hand, in Html 5 the <article> element is common. so what if I used the element <div> in Html 5? is it wrong? or what're the results?

there is nothing wrong in using div tag in html5 and there is nothing much difference in result, you can use div and you can align adjust and position it through css as per your requirement and div tag is not deprecated BTW in html5 so there is no harm in using div tag
