Both Django and Ruby on Rails are web development frameworks. Django uses Python, Ruby on Rails relies on Ruby.

You could, in theory, have a project that uses both. But that would be like wearing one pair of sneakers and carrying the second one and switching them on the street while walking, from time to time.
