VsCode Vs. Atom

I know that vscode was inspired (based) on atom but which editor works best for you?

Or you can use GNU Emacs, which has been accurately described as a compilation of all features that have ever existed in any editor ever made + a lot lot more. It can have multiple files open in the same window, one (or more) of those files can be a shell instance, Tetris game, calendar, calculator etc., you can call make by just typing Alt-x compile and much much more. And, because of Emacs Lisp, it is easily customized, modified and expanded.

It does have a Windows version, you just have to scroll down a bit (past the meaningless blabber about "freedom"™️): https://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/download.html

That's a good suggestion. And you're right about the performance issues of atom @Krishnatheja

VS code is very good. My most favourite feature is extensions. But you can try using both (and many others) and find which is best for you. If you don't want your text editors to use more storage, you can go for some other as both atom and vs code are written in JavaScript which takes up much storage than one that's written in python.

Stick to VsCode. Better gui and you can install emacs extension if you need it. Atom is good but afaik it has performance issues and resource heavy.
