Do you need to? No. Does it help in understanding Java? Probably yes.

Nope. Not required and doesn't much help any more than learning Java before C. If you learn either of them, it'll assist with better understanding the other when you go to learn it. However, one isn't dependent upon the other in any way. Java is a bit easier than the others, is more popular, and has more resources out there to support it. Personally, I'd start with Java and then do C. They all have similar C-based syntax.

If you know basic programming then it is enough to learn java. Without knowing basics of coding then it will become difficult to learn. But still its possible :) To become coding specialist/professional, learn data structures and Algorithms. Sites - Geekforgeeks, programmingcreek etc If you are familiar with C/C++ then it will become easy for u to understand but that doesn't mean it is not possible. It will take extra time to learn. We are humans. Every thing is possible. Believe in yourself. Here you can see:- " how to learn java"==>> http://crbtech.in/Java-Training/learn-java-2/
