Scraping for security

is this acceptable/welcome to have the data (text etc, html) scraped on a middle page, like reading mode in Firefox/Yandex? i tried x-path, but the page reacted funny. i tried to get sololearn beta testers signup count, nojoy. idk what other kinds of apps i could use without some good content materials. and not my fb, but why? anyway, would I need jSON soon?
