I just need ideas on what to develop for an organisation as a project using java in android studio.. Its a contest for me

so, no special requirements. then go with something you have knowledge of and make an informative app. select a topic you like (photography, football, playing the piano etc) and give information about it. a starting pafe with a menu and a few pages you can slide through with images should do the job.

They want android students to develop a simple app that can run,,, just any simple application and am stranded on what to develop and how since am a begginer
