Different scripts

Question

I already know how to add javascript to my progects and I want to try to use more languages. The <script> tag recognizes javascript by default. What I want to know is what properties should
I cange and what values I should assing to use another language such as ruby
or vb.

Thanks for letting me know that I need a server to use Ruby or PHP. What I'd like to know now is: What are some serverside languages I could use instead?

you can learn some frameworks of js or css.
Ex: bootstrap or jquery

you can run server (offline dont need wifi)on your device by using some apps

Install XAMPP on your windows or Mac to run Php on your localhost. That is your Desktop or notepad for learning. Its best choice instead of hosting a server online.
