why people still coding using html not html5?

what do think why people do not like to coding using html5?

You almost have to be an expert in really bad, legacy HTML to create formatted email using HTML.

I guess it's because backwards compatibility with old browsers. I mean, in my office we are still using IE 8 ,😧
