Is it easier for you to learn by yourself or in a community?

there are many different kinds of personalities and everyone's got their own approach to this matter. I'm just curious which style is better for everyone of you guys. as for me, you can always find support and motivation within the community, but at times it's more interesting and challenging to explore things yourself. so what do you think?

The theory I always seek to learn alone. If I always have the option to ask for help my tendency is to procrastinate. When I really can not solve something, I look for examples and in the last case, I ask for help.

It's a bit annoying indeed. (Maybe that's why I'm pretty low on programming.) My problem with communities is that I learn very slowly. I see the members' rapid progress and I am frustrated. But you made me think about it. I'll try to be more active around here. :D ps: Sorry for my english.

@rfPeixoto Yeah, thankfully, there is a lot of helpful resources available on the web totally for free, so in 90% of cases you don't even need to ask someone for help. :)

having a community and posting ur work , progress and getting feedbacks is good and helps to boost morale. alone it would be quite boring , wouldn't it? but if u don't study on ur own too, u won't have any knowledge to share and the community will feel like full of unknown people's talking something something.

@Morpheus Totally! getting feedback gives so much motivation and powers your brain to try and earn even more. about learning alone being a bit boring.... yeah.. it is sometimes... but.. another tricky thing is finding a community where you would belong to. and that's not always easy. if the community is too big, you go unnoticed. if the community is too small it may not be big enough to fulfill your needs. actually, I believe, it all depends. for instance, if you're a complete beginner and can only do fairly simple things, there is nothing amazing for someone who has been coding for years/months. so find some positive feedback on such a community would be tough

@rfPeixoto yeah, it is often happening this way. you feel like you just don't belong because you can not show brilliant results yet. I feel the same way, but that's gonna change in the future! good luck to you:))) btw don't see any reasons for you to apologize! your English is totally fine:)

@maxcookmax right, I got your point. also, that's great to have a mentor, someone who knows way more than you and can guide you whenever you need help. but when you study with someone who is at the same level as you are... once you face a problem it looks kinda like hitting the walls..:)

it's better at community, because you can ask for any and get the answer. But i was learning for 3 year solo and i think it's not bad for me..

@Bogdan yeap, agree with you. I tend to combine solo learning with some communication with other learners but yeah, both of them have their pros and cons! I'm really curious for how many years overall have you been learning to code?:)

@Bogdan I started to mess with some basic HTML5 and CSS3 about two weeks ago, and it seems like there is a countless number of things to learn.))) is coding your hobby? or you want to work with it in the future?

@Bogdan yeah, we are so happy and lucky to have that many possibilities and resources to learn and educate ourselves, and do things that we really like to do. good luck to you! will be checking your new codes from time to time!:)
