Is JQUERY really required or is it enough if i know HTML, CSS & JAVASCRIPT.

html, css, & js are enough. BUT if you want to make your life easier, you should learn jquery. and there are many pre-made functions in jquery that are useful.

but at some time writing u r own queries is essential
