For Android applications, there are IDEs (Integrated Development Environment) which allow for development for most, if not all, Android devices. One of the more prominent and popular IDEs at the moment is Android Studio. Similar to XCode which used Swift to develop applications for IOS, Android Studio uses either Java or Kotlin to develop applications easily and efficiently. If you want to get started with it, Kotlin seems to have more of a use when developing with it so it would most likely be the better option for that.

The two more popular choices for droid development is Java and Kotlin, both of which are very powerful and useful languages that utilize the JVM (Java Virtual Machine). Another good option is C# and it's been just as capable for anything I've tried to do.
