Is there a right speed to be learning these languages?

Nope! Take your time with it, to make sure you really understand what you're learning. Lots of topics build on each other. Also, make sure to practice using the languages, alongside reading the lessons for it. It always helps to see it in action!

Slow and steady wins the race! :D The key isn't to get done the quickest, but to learn the best and put it into best action. If you take time to properly learn it and remember it, then you'll be better off in the long run. Most of what I've learned wasn't from learning the language, but from actually creating things, debugging those things, and just thinking about problems in different ways. Most people that rush also form a lot of bad habits or miss material that they would have otherwise learned. What's the point of rushing if you end up in a position later where you have to either retrain yourself or break a lot of bad habits? Do it right the first time and take the time you need. Think about it like this. Do you go to school for just one year and learn normal academics? Or do you spend a series of years learning them? This shouldn't be treated any different. Put consistent work on it and keep doing it for as long as you need to do it. Trust me, it pays off later, is well worth it, and the journey itself is nothing less than amazing. Best of luck to ya!

That totally depends on learner, If you are fast pace and getting the gist of what you are learning then it's matter of time you can master any programming language.

i am making it a point to spend at least one hour every day. i think consistent practice is more important than scoring achievements. just my 2cent.
