Kotlon is a very good programming language. if you are or want to be an Android developer, then you should learn Kotlin as Google now officially support Kotlin for Android development. If you love Java, and you don't want to leave it, no problem, its okay.
But , as you may know , how Swift replaced Objective C for IOS development. That same thing is happening with Java.
Don't worry Kotlin is very similar to Java , infact , Kotlin is more concise. Also in Java there are some issues which are critical to handle but not in Kotkin.
