Relation between Java and HTML/CSS

Hi everyone, I am trying Java in order to develop Android app, and I am wondering whether I have to know about HTML and CSS. I'm a beginner so I'm not sure anything, hope to receive your support.

Nope. I've been able to create many apps with Java and none of which required me to use HTML/CSS or other web development technologies. However, that doesn't mean you can't use them either, so if it's something you'll need for whatever project you're working on, then learn them.

Yeah, I know a little about HTML and starting to learn CSS and Java, but I'm afraid that I cannot focus on one thing. Refer from your advice, I think I should fucus on Java first and learn CSS when I have time.

Well, if it makes you feel better, I have the attention span of a little kid. lol It's really hard for me to focus on only one thing, and as a result, I've learned and am good at many things, which all seem to compliment one another. Do whatever works best for your situation and how you learn.

What is your actual goals in the long/short term with all of this? If you let me know what you're doing, l can give you some advise that's tailored toward your goals.
