If you wanna be really hard developer - start with C or C++. Also you will understand how computer works as a bonus. Else you can try Python. It's very smart and simple language with many implementations in modern software development, for example in machine learning or web-developing.

Hi Inuel , It depends on how deeper you want to go. One can easily learn C/C++ in a month or two. But if you want to master it, it will come with time and depend on individual. C is a great start into programming world and best way is to get your hands dirty, that is start coding. Once you grow logic building ability in yourself, you can take any language and will be good to go, as logic remains same regardless of the language. All that changes are syntaxes. Happy Learning.
