Best language for beginners?

I only know some C#, what do you recommend for someone starting out?

Well, it depends on your goals, but I would start out with Python. Though boring at times, it helps a lot for harder languages a lot.

Start with JavaScript, it is great programming language that has everything that other (robust) programming languages have + it is super easy to write (you can write it in notepad) and run (just install iis or Apache) and you are ready to code! I am using visual studio BTW.
