Which first language?

I am completely new to coding and I want to start self studying to prepare for college/uni.
Any specific languages that should be learnt before others to make it easier?

no there is no language is related for each other if you want to learn java then just learn java you dont need to learn any another language to learn java.
i think the real question is " what i want to do with coding or programming"
is it web developing or machine language if you want web developing then look for languages that uses in web developing .

I would say Haskell to understand machine code and then jump into Python. just my opinion

Python is a good language, easy and can teach you a lot of CS and programming concepts
