Is there a VIRUS that cannot be removed by any antivirus?

Yes, but only until someone figures out how to remove the virus. In the world of computers you quickly learn that there is no concept of perfect. There is always a weakness and that can be exploited. That applies to security and to malware/viruses.

My understanding of RootKits is that they cannot be removed by antivirus because it runs as part of the kernel (Basically embedding itself into the OS). Since in most cases antivirus programs don’t check the OS’ code, they can go undetected for the lifetime of the computer.

Astutewinter Avast free antivirus has a built in rootkit scanner. Malwarebytes does. McAfee has a standalone tool for it. Detecting the rootkit is easy if you know what signature you're looking for. Removing them has to be done during bootup. Which is why these tools always ask to reboot and for permission to run during boot to remove the code before it starts up.
