how to get the source code of a game?

More specifically the game below. I found his mechanics very interesting and I would like to see how the game is inside. Changing the source code of games like this is something criminal? The game https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eKLSabvd-Zw

Best is to check the license, and contact the owners of the game copyright.

KRITESH OJHA Andrea Oggioni ifl And if the game is not open source, can I create something like that without violating any law? A game like this does not seem to be very difficult to do, I was right?

Marcus Xavierr I don't know. generally speaking, for any program: - If you have access to the code there should be a license that will describe your rights. - There is nothing stopping you trying to recreate the game for your own usage, but there may be limitations on publishing what you do. - Note that there is also possible copyright on any artwork.

if you are genuinely interested and feel capable to contribute, you may flag your interest to the creators of the game. If you are lucky they may even help you!

ifl KRITESH OJHA But if I copy just the style of the game (2D shooter), would it still be considered plagiarism? Is there any example of this type of game in github?

Marcus Xavierr I really don't know :-) I guess a generic 2D shooter is fine, but if you feel that what you do is plagiarism, it probably is! In which case, at least it is polite to acknowledge/mention where your inspiration comes from.
