Have seen some students from great institutes making 😂emoji when u say u r learning Python and not C++. Wow! Is it worth 😂?

I was surprised to see this really. I'm quite sure, there isn't anything to be laughed at. Indeed, i have seen people recommend Python as the first learning language for it's simple syntax and great applications. Comment on this plz. I ain't trying to insult or support any side. I just wanna know what everyone thinks of it? Bcz I'm still shocked to see that. BTW, these people are great programmers as well. They don't want us to leave learning python. They were just saying that u can learn python in 3 months or even earlier if worked hard. I just didn't get the point for this emoji(😂). Is it just a perception or is it a talk for hunting top job oppurtunities? The same is with HTML. People laugh when u say u know how to code in HTML. Well, i have seen the power of HTML5 and i won't say it is really something to be laughed at. Valuable comments are welcome. Thanks! 😄

I don't see the reason to be fazed over the use of an emoji. It is fine to start with any language given that you know what you plan to do with it. You are going to learn HTML if you do web development. You are going to learn C++ if you plan to make desktop applications or cross-platform games via game engines. There is nothing laughable about learning a language. What is laughable, is when someone goes around asking what language to learn first whilst never have asked himself what he plans to achieve with programming. Blindly following advices based off of stereotypical opinions are clearly not the way.

That is simply elitism. And it's meaningless, since the language has many applications, but popularly it says C / C++ is more difficult, so therefore for them that makes it better. I laugh at a friend who uses Python, but I do it only because he mocks that in 2018 I still use PHP. Although it is simply a somewhat childish way of demonstrating our friendship, lol.

Mickel Sánchez Haha 😂😂 Yeah, C++ is tougher, i agree. It's just bcz of it's syntax and libraries. But i won't really laugh on someone learning Python first lol. Ur case is talking to a friend and it's perfectly okay but i was just saying it as what i see people yelling often. A simple way to say C++ is tougher than Python would be printing "Hello World" in both languages. It would be clear thereafter. 😂
