what will be your first java application?

I would like to make an app with historic maps. I think that can be a fun project! what are your ideas?

you make some good points. fortunately, a colleague of mine made an app with historical maps of the netherlands for windows phone and he proposed that I could make the Android version, so that solves a lot of the issues that you raise. also I am working in geo IT, so I know where to get data :).

just a simple thing that asks you your name and then prints it (I think I can make it also put the names in a google doc just for fun)
