OK, I guessed the answers based on contextual clues without understanding anything. That's not the same as programming, is it?

nope, but you are interpretating code at least. you will start to remember stuff, when you code from 0

no problem. try to go to playground and come some simple stuff (ask for a name, then greet with the name, numeric operations, etc). If you feel lost, ask, or read other codes, it always helps

I have never come across an explanation that make it perfectly clear, I think its better if you putt the code into a real life situation. it becomes a lot easier to understand this way, to only trouble is sometimes there isn't one. good look any way
