Birmingham uk web dev practise / training / experience

hi great community! is someone from birmingham uk or west midlands? im looking for places where i can gain experience in web development. my dream is to change my career, i would like to practice with real team or meet people who are webdev involved. im still working in different type of job but it is not problem to find time to go anywhere in west midlands to improve my skills.
is someone know anything about it?

Its really hard to get work experience in industry, I'd recommend building up a portfolio of work and building up a presence on LinkedIn/alternative. Good Luck!
