How to edit a website to add new features and remove some?

Question

Ok so my best friend is hosting this event coming up august, she needs a website for her event in which people can buy tickets online and sellers can book like a section to sell, already someone created a website for her but she just doesn’t like the appearance I mean the look of the page and needs to edit it and change certain things, also to add some more features.
She told me about it if I could handle it and so I said I’d try. I really need someone interested and willing to help and guide me if you’re into web development and design.

Try wordpress websites. Or, there is a new website builder called 'square space' I guess. Its pretty easy and all, give it a try.
