Projects , packages and workspaces ?

i just want to know the difference between these three and their purpose . What are the uses of these three ? When I want to create something different with a different main , where do I put it ?
I am talking about java and eclipse.

You can put more than 1 project in the same package.
Package is a virtual storage that is used mostly due to accessibility reasons and order.
workspace is in what folder do you want to save your projects in and it has do more with Eclipse than Java.
