Best place to store html sources?

where should my sources be stored? a server? a website? is internal storage a good or bad idea?

Internal storage is bad. Storage is best server sided to avoid many exploits.

My knowledge is not yet that far. But I know databases and stuff like php and mysql is involved, so I haven't approached that sector or data storage yet.
