Is there any way to make c# as back end

Hello guys! Is there any way to make c# as back end and make something like javascript or similar for front end? If not what other languages or framework i can use, but c# will still be my back end. And also if it is also possible to integrate an sql with it? Im trying to make an api where c# is backend. Thank you in advance everyone
