creative ideas?

so I know that the best way to learn code is to code. I'm trying to start building a portfolio for interviews and such by creating apps and web pages but I have no idea what to make, like what time of apps or what I want my code to do. does anyone have ideas of what I could create or tips on how you decide what to make when you write a code? like how do you decide what to create because I am just stuck. I'm sorry if this seems like a dumb question. lol I just don't know where to go from here💜 thanks in advance

I found it very engaging to make a strategy calculator webapp for a game I like. Otherwise, try to copy some simple games. Like make hangman, 2-player knots and crosses, or a clicker game.
