What is your best secret in learning a new language

please share with me your strategy in learning a new Language , how did you do it ,what your little secret ??????

my strategy is.....

i)first complete the basics course
ii)then make a code about the topic to improve your skills
iii)learn its advance course(either from sololearn or youtube)

and voila you are on your way to master the language

For me, learning a new language is about understanding the main operations:

-Getting input
-Giving output
-Perform math
-Generating repetitions
-Conditional Experpessions

I feel like once I understand these, I am ready for more complex operations. I feel like most languages share these areas of responsibility. Also, understanding Design Patterns has helped me recognise and understand methods and models

This is actually a secret technique, but im in a good mood today so here goes.
1) first of all, I create a table in a spreadsheet such as excel,
2) go to w3schools(or your preferred site) and copy the reference of the language, and paste it in the spreadsheet. (make sure each col has a title.
3) make a column where you give an example of how to use each property/method.
4) keep track of what you know /dont know by highlighting the rows you know in green and the ones you dont in yellow
5) make a note of all the strategies in this thread and use them together as they are part of the overall solution.

besides practice, practice , practice...the best way to learn is to teach....no matter how new or how little you know. if and when you articulate and explain to someone else, then your comprehensine increases...imho
