What is your favourite programming language and why?

What are some good and big projects that you've made? I want to hear you people out, your thoughts :)

Python all the way. You can take a snippet of pseudo code, paste it into a python interpreter, just change a few things to suit the syntax and it'll work 90% of the time. simple, powerful and beautiful code. not to mention that the standard library for python is huge

My favorite language is Java because it has a lot of possibilities and I think that it is very usefull.
