Believe it or not, C++ is not the best language for any type of penetration testing or system analysis, in terms of scalability. Any high-level scripting language such as Python is your best bet for anything in that realm due to its versatility and friendliness. C++ is a powerful language for powerful uses, such as full-on malware and other exploitative pieces.
