What is require to make a simple app

Question

I want to make and app in android. I don't really know where to start or the procedure of making an app. I want to know what type of coding to make one. I heard i have to learn java and other type of coding. I'm trying to make a simple app. Nothing too advance. Thank you.

I would strongly advise you to follow this guide by the Google themselves:

Then take it into play to cover the very basics of the idea using Udacity:

When it comes to languages this is the short list:
Android - Java
iOS - Swift
Windows - C#

JavaScript: React Native
Web languages: Ionic
C#: Xamarin

if you have no idea use appinventor to get motivated using a simple app fast.
soon you will get to app inventor's limits and you'll have a good reason to start with Android Studio.
I had no idea and Andrid SDK dropped me K.O. in the first round after Hello World!
It took time and a more gradual approach to go "back inn the ring".
