What is the best 2D Game engine that's free, can run on Linux, and is easy to use?

an official linux installer was rekeased sept 2017...unity still gets linux updates tbey just dont make a big deal about it which is why info is harder to dig out

unity can do 2d or 3d but its pretty intuitive to use
