In which programming language AI robot Sophia was programmed?

With its main feature which is conversation (chatbot), it could be any language.
But they probably choose lower level language for complete control.

For that level of complexity idk if interpreted language like python is a good idea. I mean interpreted language are slower than compiled language in general, if they can use those time for processing to make the bot better surely they'll drop slower one even though its easier to write. Then again with much function in single robot, speech recognition, retina movement, face recognition etc etc. lower level language would be a good choice.
But who knows right ?
