Use programs on Kali Linux like Fluxion. It's easy to use and very powerful.

Cpp can use terminal. So just making it open particular tool and using a bash script to do a basic attack(bruteforce, dictionary, handshaking)l etc) would end up giving you the solution you need.

I used reaver on back track 5 r2 and r3. it worked well depending on the Access points security settings. I have had.problems using it on Kali....
