Assuming this `ptr` guy is a pointer, then by the above statement the following are "predictable"!
ptr; // address of the location pointed by ptr
ptr + 1; // pointer arithmetic -- next address
*ptr; // dereferencing the content pointed by ptr
*(ptr + 1); // pointer arithmetic and dereference the next content
