I want to be an expert in Artificial intelligence. So what procedures should I follow?

Depending on how far you are, you'll need a good understaning of machine learning algorithms, neural networks and deep learning, as most modern AI applications use those.
Plus, of course, an implementation of the above in your language of choice and a solid math/stats background on the algorithms themselves.
