Is Lynis as effective at finding rootkits as RKHunter?

Ok James. From what I understand so far, Lynis and RKHunter are two options for Linux virus scanning.
It's important to note that Linux systems generally have less vulnerabilities than Windows. And virus scanners for Linux scan for existing threats rather than run in the background monitoring live actions as in antivirus software for Windows.
GUFW is a good option for a firewall which you'll want especially while working away from home and serving your own web projects
Take the time to familiarize yourself with how each program operates since using Linux is a much more manual/hands on experience
