How is it possible for non English speakers to learn programming???
Does Language barrier not hinder proficiency in programming

Most programming language is inline with English, English proficiency will be very handy in the learning process. At least we can guess what any syntax referring to by understanding its literal meaning in English.
You don't have to be like any poet or grammar nazi, knowing a bit wouldn't hurt.

lol have sat in many classes with British nationals who are not the greatest in English and its grammer in daily usage. Thats never hindered them in programming. in some cases being good at British English was annoying. We often spell Colour with a U and Americans drop the u into Color so HTML was annoying to begin with many years ago.
in the British system as far as computing goes they concentrate on Structured English, very easy to read and write harder to mess it up.

so programming wont require shakespear level English just grasping the basics should be fine. you can read English typed by a Scotsman (Moi) then you are already doing better than half of the UK :) lol
