Well, I created a parking system, where you can store users (with personal data), their cars (patent, tmodel, color, etc). The parking slots, and the taxes.

Might be too big to start with, because it was a final project.

You can start doing a simple text editor, like notepad, and add function like text color change, give the option to save and load files, etc.

I wrote a couple programs to automatically play facebook games while i was at work.. those type of games where you need to, say "collect your crops" every hour or so or reaction time based games where a program could do the job much quiker than a human ever could. these projects were very early on so the coding is a nightmare, but they always worked correctly and taught me a heap of different concepts.

I made a 3d engine using DirectX but I never completely finished it. You could load Return To Castle Wolfenstein maps and display them using Direct3D.

For c# you can make an OpenGl app (there is a wrapper for it) that displays 2d/3d objects...

I have never programmed in c#, but the first thing I programmed was a robot in a competition. It was in java, so it wasn't too hard to figure out. I had also programmed with drag&drop languages before, but nothing major.

My parent company site using HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, XML, and MySQL. It took longer than expected as I usually came across a new obstacle each time, but I loved the fact because I gained valuable knowledge. That was in 2013, and I'm now working on a newer version of it.
