Is it better to learn a low level or a high level programming language?

Low level programming will always be more efficient than high level... well, depending on the programmer, but nowadays, which are better?

Low level languages are great to deal with machines and robots (also a machine)

High level languages are designed for solving problems and represent outputs in a nice manner.

According to my opinion both types would be useful. There will be a high trend for low level languages in future to deal with robots. High level languages would survive undoubtedly - they will used to develop AI technologies and for design purposes.
