Which programming language is suitable for computer networking?

Question

I want to learn computer networking. But i am little lost from where to start and which language should i prefer for it.
Can i consider golang for it or java?
Anyone having any advice from where or which topic should i start is most welcome.

It really depends on what you want to do. There are many different possibilities in networking. And also you can work on the client side or on the server side.

You should learn C and C++ if you want to do low level programming like write network drivers or protocols.

Python or Pearl for machines "talking" to each other.

Javascript if it s in the context of a web page.

I recommend you to learn C, C++, Java and Python... But it realy depends on what you want to do.
