Anyone who has done Computer Programming can you tell me What you specifically need to be good at, and how I should study it?

I'm an 8th grade soon to be in highschool I'm going to a technical school where I chose Computer Programming as a class, I wanted to know what I need to be good at?, and whoever is doing it now what is the limit you can do with Computer Programming.

let me start with they is not limit to what you can do with programming, and for what you need to be good, you just need to write and solve little programming problems all the time, that's code everyday, and a day you decide not to code read some code
