How useful is boolean algebra

Im learning boolean algebra in school and i wondered why im learning it.

If u know boolean algebra, u can solve IT schooltasks. But seriously without bool you wont be able to understand how your computer works. Hardware uses boolean and logic algebra to keep, use and change info as i know. but i can be wrong with it

We use boolean algebra all days.
Your mom for example, while cooking she uses boolean algebra.
Suppose she turned on the oven which is programmed to beep on 400 degrees.
Now your mom is watching TV...
If she hear the beep she stand up and turn the bread to be cooked in the other side.
Voilà !!!
