How do I become a backend developer?

I studied mechanical engineering in college so I decided to make the transition of being a developer, your advice will be so much appreciated. Thanks so much this program has been so helpful in taking that decision

Start with basics of backend languages. I recommend you to start with PHP or Java. Then, if you feel like you need something different, try Javascript.
