Kotlin or Java?

Is Kotlin better than Java? I started using Android Studio and it supports Kotlin and Java. I dont know which one to use. Or does it not madder? What do you guys think?

Let's put it this way. Java is more general purpose at least for now. Kotlin is mainly for App development.

Let me leave you with this, Kotlin was made as an improved replacement for Java.It also runs on the JVM

You could intermix code from both languages. Meaning you could create a class in Java, and then use that class in Kotlin

java maybe more powerful, but sure got more material, for gamedev probably java is a better choice
