How can i contribute to projects as a high-school student ?and get certified

Maybe you can start by viewing some open source projects, by then you can measure whether the project's complexity is within your scope and whether you should (or not) propose to join the team. I'm not sure education level counts for qualification, perhaps they care more of your skills, helping initiative or creativity. Most open source project contributors are doing their work remotely, so your true identity isn't necessarily be exposed. I haven't heard of certification for a project contribution, there might be a form of appreciation, mentioning your name/nickname in a credits page or something. Oh and stay careful, there are those out there who seeks for some eager people (who are into building their portfolio) to be manipulated to their benefits, just saying : )
